It’s what shaped his approach to recruitment from day one.
For nearly a decade, Russell has focused exclusively on the energy sector, building deep expertise across utility-scale renewables, power generation, and data centers in the U.S. He has worked across a broad range of platforms, including portfolio companies, balance sheet-backed IPPs, and private equity-backed businesses, supporting hiring across development, finance, and operations.
Russell is known for his direct, transparent style and long-term approach to relationships. He prioritizes understanding what both clients and candidates actually need, not just what’s on paper, focusing on outcomes over activity.
